Do you have a passion for all things celebrity and current affairs? Can you source and identify the latest celebrity fashion clips for a broadcaster whilst at the same time delivering breaking news content to a major online site? Are you interested in working with media asset management technology? Are you happy working in a close-knit team to tight deadlines?
BBC Motion Gallery requires a Media Coordinator to specialise in news and entertainment. The role will involve researching, selecting, cataloguing and publishing suitable clips of stock footage for our on-line licensing business www.bbcmotiongallery.com. You will also be dealing with research requests arising from customers using the site and looking for archive content.
You will have proven research and cataloguing experience, preferably gained in a footage or stills environment. Essential to the role is the ability to assess image quality in terms of composition and subject matter, as well as an understanding of rights clearance, as is experience of using Final Cut Pro. A knowledge of film and videotape formats and of BBC databases and procedures would be an advantage.
This role demands a 7am start Monday to Friday in order to deliver the breaking news to our clients around the world.
